Mechanism
The Recomp Stack targets both sides of body recomposition simultaneously through three complementary peptides. CJC-1295 with DAC (albumin-binding modification) binds albumin in circulation, giving it a 1-week effective half-life and producing a sustained elevation of baseline GH secretion — a low-level "GH bleed" between natural pulses. Ipamorelin acts at the ghrelin receptor to trigger discrete, clean GH pulse amplitude increases on top of that elevated baseline. Together, the elevated GH environment drives IGF-1 production in the liver, which is the primary anabolic signal for lean mass preservation and growth.
AOD-9604 operates through an entirely different pathway. It is a modified fragment of the C-terminal end of GH (177–191), engineered to retain the lipolytic signaling of full GH at adipocyte beta-3 receptors without the anabolic or glucose-regulatory effects of the intact molecule. This means AOD-9604 drives direct fat mobilization from adipocytes without raising IGF-1 or affecting insulin sensitivity — it purely adds a lipolytic drive that is independent of the GH/IGF-1 axis.

Typical protocol
- Starter: CJC-1295 DAC 1 mg SC once weekly + ipamorelin 250 mcg SC 3× daily (pre-bed mandatory; add AM fasted and post-workout if possible) + AOD-9604 500 mcg SC once daily fasted AM. Run 10 weeks on / 4 weeks off.
- Advanced: CJC 1–2 mg/week + ipamorelin 300 mcg 3×/day + AOD-9604 500 mcg AM fasted. Advanced users may add a second AOD-9604 injection pre-bed if AM-only plateaus.
- Cycle length: 10–12 weeks on, 4 weeks off minimum. The CJC side has a week-long half-life — it builds to steady state over several weeks, and clearance is also slow; that 4-week off window is meaningful.
- Reconstitution: Each component reconstitutes per its individual entry. CJC-1295 DAC: 2 mg vial + 2 mL bacteriostatic water → 1 mg/mL; 100 IU = 1 mg. Ipamorelin: 5 mg vial + 2 mL bacteriostatic water → 2.5 mg/mL; 10 IU = 250 mcg. AOD-9604: 5 mg vial + 2 mL bacteriostatic water → 2.5 mg/mL; 20 IU = 500 mcg.
Who it's for
Intermediate to advanced users who want concurrent fat loss and muscle preservation or growth — the dual-goal recomposition objective. This is not a first peptide cycle. Run the individual components separately first to understand your personal response to CJC, to ipamorelin, and to AOD before combining them. The Recomp Stack is designed to be standalone — it already covers both GH-axis dimensions plus direct lipolysis. Do not add a GLP-1 unless specifically targeting aggressive fat loss and the user accepts the lean-mass tradeoff management requirements.
Watch-outs
- More moving parts means more daily injections. Map out the schedule before starting — typically CJC once weekly, ipamorelin three times daily (all fasted or 2+ hours post-meal), AOD-9604 once daily fasted AM. Adherence to the fasted requirement on ipamorelin is non-negotiable; food kills the GH pulse.
- CJC-1295 DAC's week-long half-life means dosing errors compound slowly but also correct slowly. Start conservative at 1 mg/week; do not rush to 2 mg if the first week feels mild — steady state takes 3–4 weeks to establish.
- Watch for insulin sensitivity drift on the GH axis if running in a caloric surplus. GH elevates blood glucose via anti-insulin signaling; fasted morning injections and avoiding late-night carb loads manage this.
- The AOD-9604 component works best fasted. Mixing it with a carb-heavy meal window blunts the beta-3 adipocyte signal.
