Batch-Specific Certificate of Analysis with Every Order
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is the analytical document that accompanies a research-grade reagent and attests to its identity, purity, and composition. Every single research peptide shipped by LifeSpanSupply is accompanied by a batch-specific COA â not a generic template, not a spec sheet, but the actual analytical data from the exact lot you receive. This is how research-grade suppliers separate themselves from the gray market, and it is non-negotiable for any laboratory that needs reproducible results.
What Our COA Contains
Every LifeSpanSupply COA documents: HPLC purity percentage with method details (column type, gradient conditions, detection wavelength), mass-spectrometry identity confirmation showing the measured molecular weight matches the target peptide, appearance description, lot and batch number for full traceability, manufacturing date and recommended expiry, storage instructions, and net peptide content (the actual amount of active peptide after accounting for counter-ions and residual moisture). The full HPLC chromatogram image is included so independent verification is possible.
Net Peptide Content
A 5 mg vial of peptide is not always 5 mg of active peptide. The weight typically includes acetate or trifluoroacetate counter-ions plus residual moisture, meaning net peptide content can range from 60â80% of gross weight. This matters for accurate concentration calculations. LifeSpanSupply fills vials based on net peptide content â when the label says 5 mg, you receive 5 mg of active peptide â and the COA documents this explicitly so researchers can calibrate their protocols.
Lot Traceability
Every vial is traceable to a specific synthesis lot, testing lot, and delivery batch. If a question ever arises about a product you have received, we can pull the exact analytical record for your vial from our archive. This is the minimum standard for pharmaceutical QC, and it is how research-grade peptides should be handled.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to request a COA separately?
No. A batch-specific COA is included with every LifeSpanSupply order at no additional cost. You receive the actual analytical data for the exact lot you purchased, not a generic template.
What if my COA is missing data?
Contact us immediately. Every LifeSpanSupply COA is required to include HPLC purity, mass-spectrometry identity, net peptide content, and lot traceability. A missing COA or missing data is a shipping error we will correct at no cost to you.
Can I see a COA before ordering?
Yes. Contact our team for a sample COA for any peptide in our catalog â we are happy to share representative analytical data so you can verify our standards match your research protocol requirements.
How long are your COAs valid?
A COA is a record of testing at a specific point in time. Lyophilized peptides stored at the recommended conditions remain within spec for 24â36 months. Your COA documents the testing date so you can calculate remaining stability for your protocol.
